New Year’s Eve
Make your reservations early for the party
of the year! Two seatings are available, 6:00 and 9:00 p.m. The later
seating is a six course gourmet meal with your choice of entree,
appetizer, soup, salad, intermezzo and a spectacular dessert with free flowing
champagne. If you like to dine and leave early, don’t miss the early seating
which includes choice of appetizer, salad, entrée and complimentary glass of

Remember holiday gift giving. Fresh Starts gift
certificates make wonderful gifts and can be purchased in any denomination over
$5.00. We will hand write them for you, or mail them to your recipient with all
your information given to us in advance. Discount special on purchases over
$100.00 (5% off), and over $200.00 (10% off). We’ll either give you the discount or
write you your own gift certificate for the amount. You choose.

New Fall Lunch & Dinner Menus |
If you haven’t visited Fresh Starts lately, you have to see our new lunch and dinner menus. At lunch, we have a lettuce
wrap with an oriental flare, called the Beef Tenderloin Wrap. Also back by
popular demand is the Carolina BBQ Pork Sandwich, Sauteed Chicken with Angel
Hair Pasta and the new famous Muffaletta Sandwich served at Flossmoor Festival
this year. We still have all those wonderful salads…Napa Cabbage Salad, Mesculyn
Salad with warm goat cheese, Caesars Chicken Salad, the Cobb and the BBQ Salmon
with Spinach Salad.
There are a lot of exciting additions to our dinner menu including appetizers
such as Duck Quesadillas, Cajun Spicy Jumbo Shrimp, along with our famous Lobster
Ravioli, Baked Crab Cakes and Mussels in garlic white wine sauce. New salads
include seared Ahi Tuna with a wasabi soy dressing, and a Thai salad with
your choice of beef tenderloin or grilled chicken. New pastas begin with Jumbo shrimp
with asparagus and asiago cream tossed with gemelli pasta, Jumbo Scallops with
lemon cream, red peppers and spinach, the famous New Orleans Pasta and
Shrimp & Grits remain. New entrees include a grilled Petite Filet, Madeira Amish
Chicken, Asian Shrimp with jasmine rice along with favorites like the 16 oz
Coleman Rib Eye, Roasted Half Duck and Lemon Veal.
We still feature Amish chicken, all natural meats and Coleman beef. This means
no antibiotics or hormones were given to any of the animals and all were fed
natural or free range foods. We also indicate low in fat, cholesterol and help
with special dietary needs such as diabetics, heart healthy, Atkins and Southbeach. We try to feed the body and spirit with the very best ingredients

Fall Dessert Specials

Our pastry chef, Jack Jackson has
created some beautiful dessert specials for the Thanksgiving and Fall season. We
are now offering a sensational Pumpkin Bundt Cake, a Pumpkin Lover’s Layer Cake
covered in cream cheese frosting, Jack’s “Soon To Be Famous” Sweet Potato Tart
with Grand Mariner Whipping Cream and candied orange garnish, Pumpkin Bars with
a citrus glaze, Apple Cranberry Bundt Cake and our simple but delicious Pumpkin

See Us in Elite Magazine and on TV

Fresh
Starts will be featured in Elite Magazine in December. Our pastry chef, Jack
Jackson will showcase desserts such as the famous Yule Log, complete with
photos.
We will also be featured for a half hour public access television show called
“In Rich Township” featuring Thanksgiving, which was filmed at Fresh Starts on
Tuesday, November 2 and will run in 36 communities on Comcast Channel 19. This
is the third show Fresh Starts has done for “In Rich Township” and we are
honored to participate again. The show will feature pastry chef, Jack Jackson's
specialty Thanksgiving desserts, Chef Brent Nardi, will present a wonderful
array of shrimp crostini appetizers and Robert Burt, our night manager and wine
specialist will assist you with wines to serve on this very special holiday. The
show will air at 6:00 p.m. on Channel 19 on Friday, November 12 and Friday,

Robert's Wine Corner...
Wine Selections for
Thanksgiving
|
|
As the holiday approaches, many customers ask me about wines to serve for
Thanksgiving. With so many different foods, as well as wine preferences, it
becomes a daunting task at times. Some excellent choices for this very special
meal include a semi-dry but fruity champagne or sparkling wine prior to the
meal. Enjoy a Sauvignon Blanc, dry Riesling, or a Fume Blanc to accompany your
turkey and all the fixings. All three wines go nicely with the meal, as they are
not as heavy as a chardonnay, or not as fruity as a Pinot Grigio. You may want
to try a red wine like Argentinian Malbec which is quite soft, or a Pinot Noir
from Oregon. Feel free to stop by Fresh Starts for suggestions, or custom
pairing for your next event or party.
